The brief

The client in partnership with its university partners wanted to source commercial data to enhance PhD research into the form and function of places. Specifically, the need was to get hourly sales data from a number of retailers in close proximity to footfall sensors in order to understand the hourly correlation between footfall and sales along with creating a footfall pattern typology of towns.

Our input

Didobi engaged with a number of retailers to source sales data. Due to the highly sensitive nature of the data this required detailed work around a secure data services agreement, acquiring the data and leading joint meetings with the retailers and academics to ensure quality research and a feedback loop Didobi published a summary report of findings from the research.
